Bur Dubai has substantial areas of old buildings, atmospheric alleyways and souks (markets), including the world-famous Gold Souk and colourful Spice Souk. Fascinating glimpses of Dubai’s previous life can be gained at the Al Fahidi Fort and the Dubai Museum. While the traditional windtower houses of the Bastakiya district and, the magnificently restored Sheikh Saeed's Palace are not to be missed.

Dubai is a growing destination and as a result throughout the next couple of years construction work will be ongoing. Most hotels in the Jumeirah Beach area are being affected by the works, the exciting new projects include, The Dubai Marina, The Palm Jumeirah and the Jebel Ali Palm. These fabulous developments will ensure that Dubai continues its reputation as an innovative and attractive destination. It should be noted that these works are moving very quickly and what little disruption there is, is always kept to a minimum.
